Egyptian festival artist Issam Sasa was arrested in Dubai

Egyptian media reported, on Saturday, that the Dubai police arrested the popular artist, Issam Sasa, at the request of the Egyptian authorities after the decision of the public prosecution to arrest and charge him about the abuse of narcotic substances.

Last May, Egyptian authorities accused a thief of running over a young man on the highway in Giza Governorate, causing his death.

Later, the Egyptian Public Finance released Sassa after a settlement with the family of the deceased, and the Mahraganat singer was submitted to forensic medicine to determine if he was a user narcotics or alcohol while driving the car.

Dubai Police did not comment on Sasa’s arrest.

He said: “Now I will arrive in my country (Egypt) and this may be my last video … I may be arrested at the airport and I would like to explain what it happens to people. “

He said: “I was returning from work when I hit the young man with a car on the left side of the road, contrary to what is said I hit him on the right side of the road in a place where there were to walk .”

He continued: “I am satisfied with the will of God and I am confident in the judges of Egypt that he will not oppress me.”
