Al-Marsad newspaper: A video clip documented the moment Egyptian director Magdy Al-Hawari assaulted a worker inside a restaurant, due to a dispute over the value of the bill, in the Sheikh Zayed area of Giza Governorate.
The video clip showed Magdy Al-Hawari and his five children throwing several punches at the worker, while a number of people gathered to try to break up the clash between them.
The dispute began between the director and the worker, when the former asked for the account bill, which amounted to 4,600 pounds, and tried to reduce it by 50% because the price was exaggerated, according to the Cairo 24 website.
The restaurant management decided to reduce the value of the bill to 3,600 pounds, but the director rejected it for the second time, and then a verbal altercation occurred between him and the worker, and it developed into a fistfight and punches.
The restaurant filed an official report against Magdy Al-Hawari, because he received the bill after it was reduced by 1,000 pounds and did not pay its value, in addition to assaulting the worker.
It is worth noting that director Magdy Al-Hawari’s lawyer asked the restaurant management to pay the bill and waive the report.
