Al-Marsad newspaper: Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris commented in a tweet about a Moroccan football fan, expressing his anger at Arab support for the Moroccan national team at the 2022 World Cup, stressing that Moroccans are not Arabs and not have nothing to do with Arabs.
And during the tweet, Sawiris said in his response to the Moroccan fan: “Oh, salvation, uncle, don’t be sad. We support you as a non-Arab, not as an Arab, but from the Third World like us. excellent performance..and don’t bother..but one question why do you speak to us in Arabic?”
The young Moroccan had appeared in a video clip on the microblogging site “Twitter”: “You Arabize me against me. We are not Arabs and North Africa, the land of the Berbers. We are non-Arabs. There is no relationship between us and the Arabs , neither historically nor culturally nor in civilization nor in history or otherwise.” .
And the young man added: “Don’t try to Arabize me against my will. Don’t talk to me about Arabism, because I’m not an Arab”, indicating that the relationship between North African countries and the Arabs is the invasion that they have brought on their lands thousands of years ago, concluding: “Stop being proud of the achievements of the Berbers and stay away from us”.
