Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Choukry and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Friday discussed by telephone a number of regional issues of common interest.
During their telephone conversation, MM. Choukry and Lavrov exchanged views on the rapid developments taking place in the region, and together discussed the overall regional situation, Egypt’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
The two ministers underlined the importance of developing their bilateral relations in various fields, especially at the economic and trade levels. They also reaffirmed the need to continue their coordination and political consultations on regional issues of common interest.
