Actor Ahmed Malik reveals his participation in the British series “Boiling Point”.
Egyptian actor Ahmed Malik finished filming his first experiences in English drama, through the series “Bowelling Point”, a few days ago.
Malek said in an interview with “The New Arab” that he was “very happy with his experience in this series,” explaining that “the experience of working in Britain is new” to him, even if it was not his “first international participation.”
He added that he had recently finished filming the final scenes of the work, pointing out that it will be shown on the Netflix platform and the BBC.
Malek plays the character of a waiter in a restaurant, in which most of the series’ events take place, but he preferred not to reveal more details.
The Egyptian actor confirmed that his absence from participating in local works recently was due to his preoccupation with filming the British series, because “it required many preparations, and the filming took nearly 5 months.”
The series continues the events of a movie of the same name, released in 2021, through 5 episodes, and deals with the story of chef Andy, who quarreled with his team on the busiest day of the year.
The series begins 6 months after the end of the film’s events, and deals with the story of Carly, Andy’s assistant, who runs her own restaurant and the heavy tasks entrusted to her.
The series co-stars Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Taz Skylar, and Daniel Larkay, and co-directs Philippe Barantini and Lebanese Monia Akl.
Malik’s last artistic appearance was through the American film “The Two Swimmers”, which participated in a number of festivals and won many awards. It was directed by Sally Al-Husseini, starring Kinda Alloush and Ali Suleiman.
