The Damanhour Criminal Court, north of the capital Cairo, convicted the group of several crimes, including the alleged bombing of a bus carrying police officers in the coastal province of Beheira in 2015.
The attack killed three police officers and injured dozens more.
Another case, also of Brotherhood members and tried by the same court, was the 2014 murder of a police officer.

Eight of the 24 defendants were tried in absentia.
The death penalty for civilian convicts in Egypt, the Arab world’s most populous country, is carried out by hanging.
“The decision can be appealed,” said a source at the court as quoted by Al Araby, Friday (30/7/2021).
Egypt banned the Islamist group in 2013 following the military’s overthrow of former president Mohamed Morsi, the country’s first democratically elected leader.
