Egypt – sandstorm, showers and hurricane

Bad weather has covered the Egyptian coast of the Mediterranean Sea, there are raging downpours and hurricane winds. A sandstorm on November 20 passed 90 kilometers from Cairo. This served to temporarily close Sunday school classes in ten provinces of Egypt.

Because of the flood, cars and food stalls went under water.

It is known that on the eve of the city on the Mediterranean coast, heavy rains fell, accompanied by a hurricane wind. In Alexandria and a number of other cities, several streets were flooded, and the movement of cars was obstructed.

The city of Fayyum, located in an oasis 90 kilometers southwest of Cairo, experienced a sandstorm that obstructed visibility.

Cairo has also been affected by the rain front, but utilities in most areas have coped with the rainfall.

However, in Cairo and Giza, authorities canceled school classes on Sunday. Universities will decide on the issue of conducting classes individually.
