Cairo – Anatolia – An Egyptian court yesterday evening referred Muhammad Badie, leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, and 13 leaders of the group to the Grand Mufti of the Republic, to ask for his opinion on their execution, in the case known to the media as the ” fourth operating room”.
The court set the next session for April 11 to deliver the verdict, according to a judicial source.
The judicial source specifies that “the Criminal Court of Cairo, convened at the Institute of Police Secretaries of Tora (south of the capital), decided yesterday to refer Muhammad Badi’, leader of the terrorist group Brotherhood, and 13 other leaders of the group , in the case known to the media as the fourth operations room, to the Mufti of the Republic to decide on their death sentence. or less”.
He added: “The session has been set for next April 11 to pronounce the verdict”.
Referral to the mufti in Egyptian law is a step that paves the way for the death sentence, and the mufti’s opinion is advisory, and not binding on the judge, who can order the death penalty against the accused even if the mufti refuses .
