Egypt Ranks as Top Tourist Destination among Travelers from MENA for 9th Consecutive Year & Top 10 Largest Museums in Africa 2023

According to a recent report from Wego, the largest search and travel engine in the Middle East and North Africa region, Egypt continues to be the top tourist destination for travelers from the area. This is the ninth consecutive year that Egypt has held this position. The report highlights that Egypt offers a unique experience for visitors, with a combination of ancient history, culture, and picturesque beaches for relaxation and adventure, appealing to all types of tourists.

The Read Nigeria Network (RNN) has also named Egypt as having some of the largest museums on the continent, with the Grand Egyptian Museum taking the top spot. The report states that the Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, housing many priceless artifacts, including the treasures of the Golden King Tutankhamun. The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which opened in 1902, came in second place on the list, boasting a collection of the most important Egyptian artifacts.
