The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed the launch of the presidential initiative for medical examination of those about to get married, which mainly aims to achieve a safe marriage and a generation free from genetic or infectious diseases. Infectious and non-communicable, the initiative also provides medical follow-up for both parties, which reduces complications of infection for the affected party, and limits the transmission of infection to the other party.
The papers required to obtain a medical certificate for the examinations of those who turn against marriage
The initiative’s services are not limited to Egyptians only, but non-Egyptians residing in Egypt can benefit from the various services of the initiative, and undergo its examinations, but it is necessary to attach a set of official papers and documents to complete a number of procedures specified by the Ministry of Health and Population, and these papers are as follows:
- Documents to be attached for Egyptians:

- 4*6 personal photo.
- The national identity card of the same person.
- Copy of the national number of the other party.
- Documents to be attached for non-Egyptians:

- 4*6 personal photo.
- Passport or asylum document.
- A copy of the identity proof of the other party.
The Ministry of Health and Population added that the beneficiary must pay the financial dues for issuing the medical certificate for examinations of those about to get married, which amount to 220 Egyptian pounds, including analyzes and expenses for printing the certificate. The need to ensure that all analyzes and special examinations of those about to get married, which were previously determined by the Ministry and announced in an official statement, are carried out 14 days before the date of the Qur’an contract, in a way that guarantees a safe marriage and a generation free from genetic and infectious diseases, and prevents the transmission of any infection from one path to another in the event existence.
