Al-Marsad Newspaper: An Egyptian court ruled that the accused, known in the media as the “Damietta thug,” who cut off a woman’s hand, injured her son, and attempted to kill her in the Kafr al-Batikh area of Damietta governorate, was sentenced to 15 years in rigorous imprisonment.
The “thugs of Damietta” were accused of displaying force, threatening violence and using it against a woman and her son in Kafr al-Batikh.

The accused said in the investigations that the woman’s son stormed his workshop and was in possession of a knife, so he only took a piece of wood and assaulted him with it until the people intervened to separate them, and the police were informed, who in turn came to the site and arrested him, according to “Cairo 24” website.
