Al-Masry vs. Assiut Oil
Al-Masry defeated Assiut Petroleum, 3-1, at Burj Al-Arab Stadium.
Ragab Omran scored two goals for Al-Masry and another for Islam Attia, while Murad Sabri scored the only goal for Assiut Petroleum.
The match was the first for Al-Masry under the leadership of Mimi Abdel Razek, who recently coached the team until the end of the season, succeeding Hossam Hassan.
Assiut Petroleum advanced early and surprisingly in the fourth minute through Murad Sabri. A throw-in passed by everyone, and Murad followed it up with a header in Essam Tharwat’s goal.
Al-Masry’s difficulties increased in the sixth minute, as Hassan Ali was injured and left the stadium, so Ahmed Shaddad participated in his place.

In the 34th minute, Islam Attia equalized for Al-Masry. A corner was taken by Ragab Omran, and Attia met it with a header in the goal, recording the equalizer.
Al-Masry was not content with a draw, so Ragab Omran returned and scored the second for the Port Said team in the 38th minute. Ragab kicked off and hit a weak ball from inside the penalty area, but it missed the goalkeeper and entered the net.
Islam Attia was close to scoring the third in the same way in the 40th minute, after a new corner he met with a header at the left post, so the first half ended with Al-Masry advancing with two goals to one.
Second half
The second half was quieter and full of substitutions.
Essam Tharwat shone brightly in the 52nd minute, after a mistake from Al-Masry’s defense. Imad El-Din Boubaker scattered the ball in the head of Amr Moussa, and the ball bounced back to the Assiut Petroleum striker, who fired a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, but Tharwat threw it and turned it into a corner brilliantly.
Hossam Greisha, returning from injury, participated in the 61st minute, replacing Abdo Yehia.
In the 79th minute, Islam Abu Salima and Muhammad Al-Fayoumi participated instead of Ahmed Shaddad and Islam Attia.
Ragab Omran crowned himself man of the match in the 89th minute with a third goal. The loaned player from Ceramica Cleopatra skillfully dribbled the guests’ defenders, then shot with his left hand into the goal, scoring the third, and the match ended with Al-Masry winning 3-1.
