Egon Herrnleben is a passionate metal musician. During his previous “The Voice” appearances, he has always caused a stir in the studio. The 40-year-old managed to qualify for the final with his performance.

In the semi-finals Egon proves his class again. This time he interprets the popular song “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey – once again a version that only Egon can do. Excitement in the studio! His coach Ronan is once again overwhelmed and convinced that Egon will make it to the final. “Egon is a rock star!” says the trainer enthusiastically.

Shirin also recognizes Egon’s outstanding abilities: “For me, you are an incredible artist!”

After the decision, it is now clear: Egon can continue to rock the stage in the final and fight for the title of “The Voice of Germany” 2023.

Ronan puts everything on one card: Egon takes part in the team fights

Ronan Keating can only send one talent into the race in episode 15. While Giovanni’s team has two hot seats, the Irishman is currently without one. “I’ve never experienced anything so crazy,” says the trainer desperately. Getting as much talent as possible into the live shows requires a certain level of tactics. Ronan has made a plan and calls for his talent:

The metal musician can hardly wait. He wants to prove to his coach that he has worked hard on his singing skills. The 40-year-old enters the teamfights ring with a declaration of war: “Giovanni has two seats up there and one has to go!” Egon challenges Dan.

The Bamberg native does justice to the Bon Jovi song “Livin’ On A Prayer” right from the start. On stage, Egon shows his full vocal power. He can hold the high notes for an impressively long time and he sings the rock verses at the top of his lungs. As if intoxicated, the 40-year-old jumps up to the trainers and gives them a high-five.

The “The Voice” studio is raging and one listener can no longer stay in his seat: Ronan. The coach, spurred on by the rocking performance, becomes beside himself and repeatedly shouts: “What the hell?”

“It won’t be an easy decision,” predicts Melissa Khalaj after the standing ovation. Shirin liked how Egon interacted with the trainers full of euphoria.

David’s plan

Bill and Tom find it difficult to compare Dan’s style to that of the metal musician. The Kaulitz brothers are only aware that it was the optimal song choice for Egon and that he delivered on stage. “Egon, you’re tearing down the hut,” summarizes Tom.

The audience then actually chooses Egon. This way he can secure a hot seat for the live shows and reach the semi-finals shortly afterwards.

These talents are also in the semi-finals. Rapper Ezo, who won “The Voice Rap by CUPRA”, is also there.

Can Egon prevail against Susan?

After his charges’ fight, Ronan Keating is overwhelmed. Both talents took his tips to heart. The metal musician came out more from himself and thus increased his stage presence many times over. Egon and Susan impressed their trainer so much with this fight that he can’t decide on a talent. He quickly brings both of them to the next round so that they can prove themselves in team fights.

This fight is tough! Rocker Egon and singing prodigy Susan combine their talents and create an unforgettable mix that will amaze everyone. Your version of “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence After a very short time everyone is out of their seats and the trainers are speechless. Guest trainer Rita Ora also can’t believe what she just heard. Coach Ronan is so excited about Egon and Susan that after the performance he can only utter a few words: “Holy shit!”

Egon’s passion: “That’s what I appreciate about metal”

Egon Herrnleben’s heart beats for heavy metal. It’s not just the music that he likes so much. The 39-year-old computer scientist is particularly impressed by the sense of community and warmth within the community: “The nice thing about metal music is that, even if it always sounds hard from the outside, there are really great people.”

The headbanger is the father of three children, for whom he gave up playing in a heavy metal cover band. Egon’s children are now his biggest fans. They encouraged him to take part in “The Voice of Germany”.

Egon is unsure how far he will get on “The Voice of Germany”. “Musically, of course, it will be difficult to move forward with a metal song,” he says. Nevertheless, the father of three does his best to make his children happy.

When the talent enters the “The Voice” stage, he greets the audience with a headbang and immediately creates a good mood in the audience. He shines with his overwhelming vocal volume and breathes a completely new note into the song. Ronan Keating and the Kaulitz brothers are thrilled by Egon’s passionate singing and enthusiasm for him.
