Egil Hegerberg, Bare Egil | Only Egil threatens to post more music on Spotify

Neil Young recently demanded that Spotify remove the podcasts of Joe Rogan, who is accused of spreading misinformation about the coronavirus. When Spotify did not, Young removed his music from the streaming service.

Night to Saturday Norwegian time, it became known that Joni Mitchell follows his example, and does the same.

On Saturday morning, Egil Hegerberg, known as artist and comedian Bare Egil, threatens to post more music on Spotify in a Twitter message.

– I have a lot of bad in stock, says Hegerberg to Nettavisen.

– What consequences can this have for people?

– There will be even more of my music there then. You have to use the means of power at your disposal. I feel that this is one of the more serious threats I can make, says Hegerberg.

– But on the slightly more serious side of this, what do you think about the debate around Joe Rogan and Spotify?

– No, I mean that Spotify must meet all requirements. Absolutely all requirements. Regardless. There is no difference in requirements. All requirements are equally good, I think. We can make no difference to them.

Arild Rønsen: Neil Young is gone from Spotify. How vulnerable are we, as the audience?

– What are your requirements in this?

– I have no requirements of my own, other than that they must meet all requirements. I assume that there are a number of requirements. And if they do not immediately meet these requirements, then I will publish more music. I have a lot in stock, so I can easily post a lot of music, Hegerberg threatens.

– What is the reason why this music has not been released yet?

– A lot of it is very bad then. That’s probably the main reason. Other things are a little better, but this also goes a little lazy. It does not pay that much, so usually there is not much point, but now that I can make a difference in the world, it can be fine, Hegerberg concludes.
