Clear affair for the WHA CHALLENGE table leader from Eggenburg. Led by Marietta Gyetko (9 goals), Anna Schuhäcker (8 goals) and Nicole Joksch (7 goals), the Lower Austrians made it 9:3 in the first 15 minutes and increased the gap to 20:9 by the break. The preliminary decision was made early. After the break, the lead remained constant at ten goals until the 45th minute, after which they pulled away again and confidently moved into round 2.
Like HIB Handball Graz, which, after minor teething problems, managed to pull away from ALPLA HC Hard to 19:10 by the break and only conceded seven goals in the second 30 minutes. Final score 41:17.
