After the successful conclusion of the last round and the unexpected promotion from the association league to the Württemberg league last year, the Egelfingen shooting club started the new season last Sunday, October 6th, 2024.
At the weekend the young mixed team was a guest at SV Barbarossa Fenken. They started fully motivated and in the higher shooting class with a new team member, Sarah Saup, who had already helped out last year. SV Egelfingen surprisingly won their first competition 4-1 against SV Güglingen. Maren S. lost her match in position 1 with 386 to 394 rings, the rest of the team got the necessary points: Lucie Saup with 385 rings, Marius Jean-Luc Petter with 383 rings, Sahra Saup with 379 rings and Nina-Marie Saup with also a good 383 rings. After a lunch break, the Egelfinger shooters went into the second competition well fortified. There they narrowly won with 3:2 points against the strong hosts, SV Barbarossas Fenken, although Maren Saup (with 379 rings) in position 1 and Sarah Saup (with 377 rings) in position 4 unfortunately had to give up their points. Lucie Saup (390 rings), Marius Jean-Luc Petter (389 rings) and Nina-Marie Saup (379 rings) then got their points and so the Egelfinger team ended the successful day with two wins and are currently leaders in the Württemberg championship. League. Afterwards, there was a lot of joy among the two shooting sports-loving Saup families about this successful debut and the great results of the 4 cousins with Marius JL Petter in the Egelfinger team.
