Arnoud Schellenberg leaves the Efteling. That name may not ring a bell with the general public, but millions of people hear his voice every year. In recent years, Schellenberg has been the theme park’s regular voice over.
He recorded the announcements for the Raveleijn horse show and the Aquanura fountain spectacle. “Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys, welcome to the sensational Aquanura water show”, normally sounds several times a day in Efteling, for example. He can also be heard as an announcer with Monsieur Cannibale and the virtual reality experience with Droomvlucht.

In addition, Schellenberg lent his voice to the video series De Magische Klok on the YouTube channel of the Efteling. Since the first corona closure in the spring of 2020, Schellenberg also provides announcements about the corona measures, with sentences such as: “Dear guest, we adhere to the guidelines of the RIVM. Do you?”

The voice-over, previously working for radio station 100% NL, started at Efteling in 2008 as DJ and operational manager of Efteling Kids Radio. Now that the radio station has stopped all programs presented, Schellenberg says goodbye to the fairytale park.
In a message on social media, he mentions setting up Efteling Kids Radio “the project of my life”. “I have been able to realize the ambitions. Together with an incredibly fun, good, close-knit and motivated team around me.”
Pain
His departure is not voluntary, just like that of the other DJs. “It’s not my choice, but the pain is eased. The DJ says he is grateful to Efteling for the opportunities he got.
