Mayor Philipp Schmid presented the honors with a certificate and badge together with the former mayor and chairman of the local DRK association, Wolfgang Fürstenberger. In addition, there were “blood formation preparations” in the form of Baden wine – the more donations, the more wine.
In a short eulogy, Schmid expressed his “heartfelt thanks” to all those who had “donated selflessly” on behalf of the community and to all those strangers who could have been helped in this way. Anyone who donates blood saves or preserves lives.
