Konami launches eFootball 2022 (formerly known as PES), but instead it is called the worst soccer game.
Different from the previous generation of PES, eFootball 2022 comes in the form of free to play, aka free. The game is developed and published by Konami Digital Entertainment.
Although it has only been released since last September 29, the negative reviews are already scattered. Even eFootball 2022 topped the list of ‘Hall of Shame on the site Steam250, which monitors the games with the worst reviews of the percentage rating earned.
Of the approximately 7000 reviews that came in, only 1600 (about 8%) wrote positive reviews, as quoted detikINET from Kotaku, Friday (1/10/2021).
Criticism of this game can be said to spread to all aspects of the game. Some call it a lack of content, some call it a mobile game because of the image quality, then the deeper criticism lies in the game engine and lag when playing.
There is even a user by the name of Hypnora who calls eFootball 2022 a psychological horror game. Perfect for people who like to break the keyboard or throw the controller out the window while playing games.
But of course the most ‘epic’ thing about this game is the image quality, or rather, the resemblance (or dissimilarity) of the image to the original player. For this part, it’s better for you to see for yourself the pictures of famous players in eFootball 2022 through the tweets below.
Or see the ‘realistic’ movement of players in eFootball 2022.
According to Steam250, eFootball 2022’s rating is worse than Umbrella Corps, NBA 2K18, and Dynasty Warrior 0. It’s even worse in ratings than unpopular games like Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction and Uriel’s Chasm.
eFootball 2022 is the latest in the PES lineup. Konami did not release the 2021 version, but only updated player data from eFootball PES 2020. eFootball 2022 is available for mobile devices, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
