Efficient SV Waldhof clearly wins at Viktoria Köln
A fast-paced first half developed in the Höhenberg sports park: Waldhof got off to a dream start and took the lead after a corner through Fridolin Wagner (5th). A little later, the Cologne team fail first on the crossbar (14th) and twice on SVW keeper Jan-Christoph Bartels (18th). Unlike the blue-blacks, who present themselves mercilessly efficiently and, after a blunder by Jamil Siebert, increase with a fantastic lob from Adrien Lebeau (23rd), so that the lead goes into the break 2-0.
After the change of sides, Mannheim controlled the game, Dominik Martinovic made the preliminary decision after an hour. In the final phase, the home side can still shorten through Simon Stehle (81st) before Adrian Malachowski (90th) scores the final score.

Viktoria Cologne against SV Waldhof Mannheim today in the live ticker – first information
Will SV Waldhof Mannheim manage their third win in a row? After convincing performances against 1860 Munich and most recently in Duisburg, coach Christian Neidhart’s team wants to start the second half of the third division season with another three points away at FC Viktoria Köln on Sunday (January 29). “I think the team has a completely different level of stability and performs very differently. You can see that we’ve made some progress there,” says Neidhart before the duel with Viktoria.
The Rhinelanders signed two well-known newcomers in the winter break with the two returnees Michael Schultz and Mike Wunderlich. “It’s a dangerous starting position for us,” warns the Waldhof coach in advance. Viktoria Köln vs. SV Waldhof will be broadcast live by Magenta Sport. The Mannheimers are supported by around 1,000 fans in the Höhenberg sports park. (mab)
