Elite Democrat Party welcomes criticism from politicians PDIP Effendi Simbolon against President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) question COVID-19 pandemic trap. Democrats assess the coalition parties supporting Jokowi have started to realize.
“The Democrat Party certainly welcomes PDIP’s strong criticism of the Jokowi government which is not firm about lockdown resulting in the current pandemic trap,” said Andi Arief on his Twitter account which was distributed to reporters, Saturday (31/7/2021).
Andi is the Chairman of the Democratic Party’s Election Winning Body. He assessed that currently the votes of the opposition political parties are starting to get a response after Effendi criticized Jokowi.
“The voices of the Democratic Party and PKS who are outside the government are like a tit for tat, the coalition party is awake,” said Andi Arief.
Previously, Effendi, who is a PDIP politician, assessed Indonesia’s entry into the pandemic trap (pandemic trap) Corona virus due to Jokowi not implementing it from the start lockdown. Even though Indonesia already has a basis for doing this lockdown, namely the Health Quarantine Act.
“The government from the start did not use referrals according to the Quarantine Law, where we should have entered the phase lockdown. But we use the terminology from PSBB to PPKM. Maybe at the beginning considering the availability of financial support and also economic problems. In the end, what happened was actually more expensive, the PSBB was also more than IDR 1,000 trillion in 2020,” said Effendi when contacted.
