Member of the European Parliament Eero Heinäluoma, 69, was seen on Saturday as one of Ylen’s competitors The song of my life – in the last episode of the program’s season. The episode also featured journalist Antti Kuronen, writer Linda Liukas, journalist Susani Mahadura and politician Annika Saarikko.

Heinäluoma wasn’t completely sure of his guesses during the episode, but no one guessed the song of his life correctly either. Heinäluoma’s song turned out to be Pelle Miljoonan I’m beautiful -song from 1982. Everyone thought it was Antti’s or Linda’s song.

The presenter of the program, Katja Ståhl, did not stay in her chair after the revelation.

– Ohhh! What? It’s not real! It’s not true! Oh well, that’s it, Ståhl shouts.

Ståhl asks Heinäluoma why the punk song in question is so important to Heinäluoma.

– This is the one that crashed, summarizes Heinäluoma.

Heinäluoma says that he bought a record player and a stereo with his first salary. Pelle Miljoona’s album was soon released.

– It just dawned on me. Anxiety that was related to youth, so I’ve also been anxious sometimes, this was music that was played every night, Heinäluoma recalls.

Heinäluoma says that punk calmed his mental landscape on the top floor of a private house in Korso. He says that he listened to the music in question every night.

– If sometimes I don’t understand young people, I listen to this, Heinäluoma says with a smile.

Heinäluoma also refers to his marriage in the song Ayla– with his spouse.

– When I started dating my current wife Ayla and we listened to a lot of music. When I called Pelle Miljoona and he agreed to like it, I thought that now we have found each other, Heinäluoma concludes.
