Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) Edy rahmayadi argued several times with the mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution in the past month. The Edy Rahmayadi vs Bobby Nasution debate was related to handling Covid-19 of Medan city.
The relationship between the two heated up when Edy flicked Bobby about Kesawan City Walk. Edy assessed that the culinary center that was predicted to be The Kitchen of Asia had not implemented the Covid-19 prevention health protocol properly.
Edy asked Bobby to follow the regulations on the Enforcement of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). He also wants Kesawan City Walk to close at 22.00 WIB every day.
“There are things that we must pay attention to. I do not expect what happened in India. Its people are 89 percent exposed. When our economic conditions are weak, if we are exposed, then cost (the cost) is too high, “said Edy at the Micro PPKM Implementation Evaluation Meeting in North Sumatra on Wednesday (21/4).
Bobby answered the sarcasm by going straight into the field. Bobby ensures Kesawan City Walk operates while still implementing the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.
The in-law of President Joko Widodo said that the kiosks in Kesawan City Walk have implemented distance guarding. He also said that visitors who came to the culinary center had implemented health protocols.

The debate between Edy Rahmayadi and Bobby Nasution continued this week. Bobby said that his party did not know anything about the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s policy of operating five quarantine places for Covid-19 patients.
Bobby said there were five quarantine places in the form of government offices or hotels. These places are used to quarantine residents who have just returned from abroad.
“The public must know that so that people who will stay there will also get information. Don’t say that the sahur will gather there together,” said Bobby, Thursday (5/5).
Edy stated that the North Sumatra provincial government has communicated with various parties. According to him, the North Sumatra Covid-19 Handling Task Force has also contacted the Medan City Government.
The former Pangkostrad was surprised that Bobby did not know this information. Edy said that the work on handling Covid-19 was carried out together. According to him, Bobby should have known this information if he joined work.
