Edy Rahmayadi has difficulty smiling, once he tries it hurts for 3 months

Medan, CNN Indonesia

Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi claimed to have a characteristic as a firm figure and hard to smile. Ex Pangkostrad he had been sick for three months because he was asked to change his habits.

“I’ve tried it with my success team, he said, ‘Sir, it’s changed, sir. I asked what do you mean? Mr smile. Then I tried it, I was sick for three months,” said Edy Rahmayadi at the Inauguration of the North Sumatran Indonesian Community Recreation Sports Committee (KORMI) Committee, Wednesday (29/12).

Edy often utters sontoloyo words. But he said he didn’t mean to hurt anyone with these words.

“I said ‘sontoloyo you’, indeed from the beginning I digitized it with my father. That’s why it was passed down to me,” he said.

According to Edy, the people of North Sumatra, especially himself, are often referred to as Batak people.

“The characteristic of our people is that we are always called Batak people, because we are like Batak people. The Batak people, when they are angry, they are angry, if they are good, they are good. That’s why Javanese people often talk, think like Batak people, but act like Javanese,” he explained.

Edy said it was impossible to immediately change his habit just because he was currently serving as the Governor of North Sumatra.

“It’s impossible for me to be governor, I just want to smile like that. It’s better for me to be like this. How can I choose to be governor sick, rather than I am like this but healthy,” he concluded.

Edy hoped that people would not take it personally. Because this is his specialty.

“So let me be like this. Don’t be angry with me like this. Yes, this is my characteristic. Not necessarily that a smooth person is better than a rude one. But it is expected that he will speak well and behave well. But I’m sorry I can’t. Let me be like this. Agree?,” said Edy, who was immediately greeted by the audience with applause.

Edy Rahmayadi Jewer Billiards Coach

Edy’s hard temper became a byword after he manipulated and expelled the North Sumatran billiards coach for the PON team in Papua, Khoirudin (Choki) Aritonang on Monday (27/12). The incident was caught on camera and has gone viral on social media.

In the viral video, Edy appears to be giving a speech at the handover ceremony for PON athletes at the North Sumatra Governor’s Office House in Medan. He then called one of the participants for not applauding, and told him to come on stage.

Edy then asked the identity of the figure from the origin to his position in the contingent. Choki then replied that he was a coach.

“The coach did not applaud. Not suitable to be this coach,” said Edy while pulling the billiards coach.

There was laughter in the audience. But a moment later the atmosphere was tense after Edy kicked the coach out of the room. Edy Rahmayadi asked the coach not to be in the room.

“You don’t need to use it anymore. You just get out. You don’t have to be here,” said Edy in the video recording.

Edy later revealed that the reason for twisting and kicking Choki was because the pool coach fell asleep while attending the event.

“I used to hang out with soccer coach Luis Milla. Luis Milla was placed in a hotel, he asked for a mirror. I thought what this was for. Every time he wanted to go out to train a little (weight) he didn’t eat him. That’s the coach,” said Edy.

Edy said he wouldn’t mind if the person sleeping wasn’t a coach. But he was disappointed to know that a coach by profession does not reflect discipline.

“If it’s not a coach, I’m okay with that. I asked you who are you? Coach.. Ha?? Wow, that’s lucky I retired,” said Edy

Edy Rahmayadi’s Enemy Until Death

Choki felt humiliated by Edy Rahmayadi for the incident. He was angry and planned to report to the police.

Choki is offended. He called the former chairman of PSSI snobbish, but lacked attention and appreciation for billiards athletes.

“Minus the attention to the world of sports, but crazy respect and applause from sports activists. What spectacular things did he do, so it is important to applaud,” said Choki to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (28/12).

Choki plans to report Edy to the North Sumatra Police for his unpleasant behavior. He felt humiliated by the governor in public.

“I will make a report to the North Sumatran Police for an unpleasant act. If not this afternoon, maybe tomorrow I will go to the Regional Police. I feel humiliated. Because I chose to fight with him (Edy) to death,” said Choki.

Choki said Edy scolded him for not applauding when the governor gave a speech. He was tricked, ordered to get off the stage and called sontoloyo.

“I was confused about why I was scolded because I didn’t applaud. He (Edy) said why don’t you clap when I speak? ” he said.

“I was teased too. I immediately left, as soon as he was near the exit he (Edy) said if you don’t like this event, please come out. Even though I already opened the door. As soon as he said sontoloyo, I walked out,” he explained.
