Head of the winning team for Pair Number 1 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN National Team) in the North Sumatra region Edy Rahmayadi admitted that the reason he became a supporter of that camp was in 2024 presidential election.
Edy admitted that if he was emotional, he would prefer candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. The reason is because Prabowo is Edy Rahmayadi’s superior in the TNI AD. But, continued Edy, he wanted change.
This was conveyed by Edy during the North Sumatra AMIN National Team Management Consolidation activity at the NasDem Party DPW Office, Medan, Wednesday (29/11).
“When I’m asked where I really want to go. According to my emotions, I go to number two. Why? Because he (Prabowo) is my former boss. So I know very well,” he continued.
“So now the question is why didn’t I go there? If asked, the answer is that I want to change. Those who have tagline ‘change’ is only number one,” added the former Governor of North Sumatra.
The former PSSI General Chair also continued to remember what the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, said regarding changes.
“For that we first adjust what we want to change. If you listen to what Ketum Surya Paloh said, that’s definitely what washed my brain. Because we are emotional, Amen… Amen…. OK, there are Christians, Muslims, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists ,” he explained.
Edy explained that what must be changed are social, ideological, political, economic, socio-cultural, defense and security conditions. And only the pair Anies Baswedan – Muhaimin Iskandar can bring about this change.
“What do you want to change? Please convey to all the people what has been changed? What has been changed are social conditions. There are many things in it. What are they? Social conditions, ideology, politics, economics, social culture, defense and security,” he explained.
