Former Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi appointed as Chairman of the National Team (National Team) for the winning presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMEN) in the North Sumatra region.
Receiving this mandate, Edy Rahmayadi said he would carry out this task as well as possible. He will work together to win Amin in North Sumatra.
“God willing, I will carry out this task as well as possible. We will win, and AMIN will North Sumatra,” said Edy Rahmayadi, Thursday (23/11).
The former Kostrad Commander also expressed his gratitude for the mandate given to him to lead the Amin National Team in North Sumatra.
“I would like to express my gratitude for the trust and trust given by the AMIN National Team for me to carry out my duties as Chair of AMIN in North Sumatra,” he said.
It is known that candidate pair number one Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin (AMIN) mobilized several former regional heads to fill the position of Chair of the National Team in each province to win the AMIN pair in the 2024 presidential election.
Several names, such as the former Governor of North Sumatra, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Edy Rahmayadi, have become Chair of the National Team in North Sumatra. Then Deputy Governor of Lampung Chusnunia Halim became Chair of the AMIN Lampung National Team, and former South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru became Chair of the AMIN National Team in South Sumatra.
The name of the former Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, Ali Mazi, was also appointed as Chair of the National Team in Southeast Sulawesi. Meanwhile, former North Kalimantan Governor Irianto Lambrie was appointed as Chair of the National Team in North Kalimantan.
At the regent level, there is the name of Regent Sidenreng Rappang Rusdi Masse Mappasessu as Chair of the National Team in South Sulawesi. Then former Lumajang Regent Thoriqul Haq became Chairman of the National Team in East Java.
“These names are delegates from each political party which in each region won the most seats. And it is hoped that these leaders will form and structure regional winning teams and synergize with party elements and form National Teams in districts/cities,” said National Team co-captain AMIN Sudirman Said in House of Change, Menteng, Jakarta a few days ago.
