Colombian Edwin Congo, who was a member of Real Madrid, was reportedly detained in Spain on Tuesday in an operation against drug trafficking.
The news was given by the journalist of the La Sexta program, Manuel Marlasca, who confirmed that together with the Colombian, nine other people were arrested.
Congo was taken to police stations while the investigation continued.
Sources close to the player assured that he is already at his home in Madrid and that it has nothing to do with the other captured people, except for a business relationship of more than a year ago for the purchase and sale of emeralds.
