Former CIA and US National Security Agency (NSA) operative Edward Snowden has given his perspective on the unprecedented whistleblower attack in Lebanon via X. In his post, he even talks about an action that is indistinguishable from terrorism.
This is the living legend of whistleblowers, who leaked information about the US electronic surveillance program, revealing that the US secret services were monitoring the telephone conversations of 35 high-ranking figures of various countries. According to a secret Pentagon report, Snowden stole nearly 2 million secret files.
Edward Snowden describes the attack:
“What Israel has just done is, by any reading, reckless. They blew up countless people driving (ie cars out of control), shopping (your kids could be in the stroller behind it in the checkout line), etc. It is indistinguishable from terrorism.
What Israel has just done is, via *any* method, reckless. They blew up countless numbers of people who were driving (meaning cars out of control), shopping (your children are in the stroller standing behind him in the checkout line), et cetera. Indistinguishable from terrorism.

If they were iPhones leaving the factory with explosives, the media would be much quicker to address this horrible precedent that has been set today. Nothing can justify this. It’s a crime. A crime. And everyone in the world is less safe because of it.
If it were iPhones that were leaving the factory with explosives inside, the media would be a hell of a lot faster to cotton on to what a horrific precedent has been set today. Nothing can justify this. It’s a crime. A crime. And everyone in the world is less safe for it.

As information comes in about the blasts in Lebanon, it now seems more likely that they were planted with explosives. Why? Too many and too serious injuries. If overheated batteries had exploded, we would have seen more small fires and failures.”
