On Thursday evening, Edvard Ingebrigtsen had a very dramatic end to his working day. He was robbed at gunpoint in a stairwell at Ulven in Oslo.
– I go down to the garage to get the car, then someone comes running towards me from behind. I turn around and see that there is a person standing behind me with a gun pointed at my head, he says to Nettavisen on Friday morning.
– Blood
Ingebrigtsen says that at first he didn’t quite understand whether it was a joke or not, but the robber continued to shout “give me the watch, give me the watch”. In addition to these cries, there were some details that made him realize the seriousness and fear for his life.
– I see that he has blood on his hand and that the gun almost looked worn, as if it were metal. So then I thought that if I don’t do what he asks me to do, he will shoot me. But I guessed that he would let me go if I gave him the watch, he says.
It all happened after Ingebrigtsen, who works as a real estate agent, had held viewings all afternoon.
– It happened in a housing development with a lot of children and the elderly, it was quite a surreal experience, he says.

Time to 400,000
With him, the robber got a watch worth a staggering NOK 400,000, and Ingebrigtsen’s phone.
– Money can be earned again. It’s worse if you die. It is absolutely sick that something like this happens in Norway, you like to think that Norway is a relatively safe country compared to many other countries, he says.
The estate agent says that he was interrogated for three hours in the apartment in which he arranged the viewing and has reported the relationship.
Oslo police district confirms that they have received a report of the case.
– Karen seemed very unstable. He must have been somewhere between 16 and 22 years old. Just be careful. It can clearly happen in what I consider to be a fairly safe neighbourhood, he says.

May have been targeted
Ingebrigtsen says that the robber was very determined and went straight after the watch he had on his arm. According to him, it is not inconceivable that he was a designated target.
– Perhaps someone at the screenings has been on the lookout. He went right after the clock, it’s obvious he knew about it. I consider that watch to be lost now, but it would be a big bonus if it turns up again. That is the problem with watches, they are very easily traded, says the broker.
And the whole episode has made him consider the use of expensive possessions in the future.
– I will never wear expensive watches again. You can still have expensive things, but perhaps lock them up, and especially refrain from using them when people know where you are.
The watch in question is said to be very valuable and to be of the brand Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400, writes Oslo newspaper.
Police prosecutor in the Oslo police district, Christina Kvarekvål Mack, tells Nettavisen that they are investigating the case.
– The police are investigating a serious robbery of an expensive watch and mobile phone which is said to have happened last night at Ulven. The police are early in the investigation. We follow up with questioning of witnesses and victims, and do other investigations to find the perpetrator, says Mack.
