The website (www.voucherseducativos.educacion.gob.ar) that the Ministry of Human Capital enabled this Wednesday for families to request the “educational vouchers” announced by President Javier Milei collapsed, generating uncertainty and impatience among those who tried to register.

“There are some failures in the system due to high demand. But if you insist you can enter. We have a record of interested parties who were able to upload the data,” official sources said, after this Wednesday the presidential spokesperson reported that the site was already available.

According to official sources, as of noon 19,500 people managed to sign up. However, there were only 2,100 who completed 100% enrollment.

The Government estimates that this measure could reach almost 2.8 million children and adolescents. In CABA and the Province of Buenos Aires, according to these estimates, 940,000 families or guardians would be able to access official aid.

Who can receive the subsidy

On March 20, the Government announced that as of April 3 – and until the end of the month – registration would be open to request an “educational voucher”, a measure that Javier Milei promised during the campaign and which has only now begun to be applied. .

The beneficiaries of the Government vouchers are “the parents or guardians of students up to and including 18 years of age” who attend private schools “with at least 75% state contribution.”

The school fee cannot exceed $54,396 per month. And the voucher will be for 50% of the value of the single-day fee (extracurricular activities are excluded), based on the base fee (March 2024) for May, June and July. Thus, the voucher will have a limit of $27,198 per child.

Another requirement is that family income cannot exceed “the equivalent of seven minimum vital and mobile salaries”, that is, according to the latest update that takes the SMVyM to $202,800, about $1,419,600.

Educational vouchers: how to complete the form to request the subsidy

To request official aid, families will have to complete a form that will be available until April 30 at Once on the website, you must go to the “Registration” tab and click.

Within this menu it is explained that “registration to receive the educational voucher must be carried out by one of the responsible parents” and that “students up to 18 years of age who attend the public educational institutions under private management with at least 75% state contribution from the entire country.”

Then you have to create a user on the platform and set a password. To do this, you must complete the following information:

• Last name
• Name
• CUIT/CUIL number
• Email
• User
• Password

Once this is done, you must click on the “Create user” button and “close”. Thus, after having created the user, you return to the previous screen, where the “Vouchers” and “Educational establishments” buttons appear.

In “Vouchers” the personal data of the person responsible for the minor is requested:

• Name and surname
• CUIL
• Level of education achieved
• Employment situation
• If other state aid is received such as the AUH or the Annual School Aid.
• You also have to answer a series of questions, such as why private education was chosen and what is the family situation to pay the fees.

Then the personal data of the minors are completed (name and surname, CUIL, date of birth and relationship with the adult) and the educational information of the students (Level, Room/Grade/Year, province). Then you must select the school you attend from the pre-filled list below and declare a CBU in ANSES.

Finally, the institutes must “validate” this information so that the Ministry of Human Capital can settle the subsidy to parents.
