In view of the corona pandemic, the “BIM” professional information fair cannot take place in the conventional format as a public fair in the Salzburg Exhibition Center this year. Nevertheless, the thousands of young people who are faced with important decisions on their educational path should receive Corona-compliant support. The answer to this challenge are the “BIM future talks”: individual talks between young people and potential training partners in order to exchange ideas in person or digitally.
“Due to the outstanding importance of the trade fair – the ‘BIM’ is after all the largest career information event for western Austria and the southern Bavarian region – it quickly became clear to us as the organizer that we would put together an alternative offer this year,” explains BIM chief organizer Gabriele Tischler from der Education department of the WK Salzburg. On the planned days of the fair (November 19-22) there will be the “BIM future talks” for young people and their parents in the congress area of the exhibition center.
“We are very happy that, despite the rapid change of concept, more BIM exhibitors want to take part in the future talks every day,” says Tischler happily. “We have already been able to convince almost 60 companies or training providers of the corona-related realignment and are sure that there will be a few more by November 19th.”
