The Deputy Director General of UNESCO in charge of education, Stefania Giannini, expressed on July 19, 2021 in Abidjan, the support of her institution for the holding of the States General of Education and Literacy in Côte d ‘ Ivory. It was after a hearing granted to him by the Ivorian Prime Minister, Patrick Achi. “We are here to express our full support for the process of the Estates General on Education and Literacy. These meetings will make it possible to rethink the education system, identify the challenges and seize the related opportunities, in order to achieve an inclusive education system. A system that will give all children in this country the chance to enjoy a quality education, ”said Stefania Giannini.
And to add that this is not a radical change. According to her, the education system has many positive points. It is rather a question of identifying the negative points, exploiting them and transforming them into opportunities for a quality education system.
Launched on July 19, 2021, the Estates General of Education will last six months.
