Education, lifelong training and access to employment are the keystones of more sustainable economic and social development.
Despite the progress made in the education of children, issues of equity, quality of training, efficiency of education systems and integration into decent employment remain.

In 2019, France renewed its commitment to massively support the education, training and employment policies of its partners and set itself ambitious objectives.

For AFD Group, 2019 was an exceptional year: the growth in grant resources and political support enabled it to multiply its funding in the education-training-employment sector by 2.5 compared to 2018 to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
