Tourismusschulen HLF Krems concludes exclusive cooperation with Lower Austria’s top excursion destinations in summer 2021.
KREMS. The areas of responsibility for the students are diverse and varied. Whether helping at a wedding in the “Garden of Love” in the Kittenberg Adventure Gardens, experiencing cultural mediation at the Heldenberg or in the Renaissance Rosenburg Castle or gaining insights into marketing and the event area in Göttweig Abbey are among the options available.
The attractive internship places are available to HLF students of the 3rd and 4th year at Lower Austria’s top excursion destinations this year.

“In 2018 we entered into an exclusive cooperation with HLF Krems in order to offer committed and motivated prospective tourism professionals a wide variety of internships. This cooperation has developed very successfully and will therefore be continued this year. At 20 of the 50 quality-tested excursion destinations, summer internships can be in the Areas of marketing, guest care, ticketing, event management and more, ”explains Eveline Gruber-Jansen, spokeswoman for TAZ and head of tourism and culture at the Göttweig Abbey, at the presentation of the diverse range of practical offers more than 160 interested students.
Apply what you have learned
Director Birgit Wagner is convinced: “As part of this unique cooperation, our students can apply and implement the knowledge they have learned in the areas of tourism marketing, hotel management and event management during their two or three-month holiday internship. After completing their training, the graduates have the opportunity to be taken on as permanent employees from top excursion destinations. “
The top excursion destinations that offer internships include, for example, the Loisium WeinErlebnisWelt, the Göttweig, Melk, Seitenstetten and Klosterneuburg monasteries, Artstetten Castle, the Schallaburg, the Thayatal National Park, etc.

Founded in 2002, Lower Austria’s top excursion destinations attract more than 6 million visitors every year. The approximately 3,000 employees make a significant contribution to added value in the regions. In order to become a member of the TAZ and to receive the coveted seal of approval, which stands for a diverse and high-quality excursion offer, over 60 requirement and quality criteria must be met.
