Yes to the wage shock….
On February 1, staff widely denounced the minister’s contempt for public schools but also the policies which organize a form of educational and social separatism.
They reaffirmed their attachment to public, secular, free and compulsory education. It is also the policy led by Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and Gabriel Attal which arouses great anger among staff. The salary file cannot be closed: the measures taken do not even make up for the losses of recent years. The pact is not an upgrade, but an additional workload and an attack on our status.
No to the clash of knowledge!
The clash of knowledge draws the contours of a backward-looking and conservative School. Through the level groups, the School of social sorting is set up. We did not choose this profession to sort students, sideline the students with the most difficulties, or even students with disabilities or non-native speakers! The forced implementation of level groups also destabilizes the colleges: whatever the minister says, there are many eliminations of duplication and options to finance this system, which is nevertheless largely rejected by staff on the ground. This forced implementation is extremely violent for our colleagues who see their professional identity denied.
There is great anger among staff. After a successful first day, to win, you must continue the action and amplify the balance of power! The SNES-FSU, the CGT Educ’action and SUD education call to continue and quickly amplify the mobilization for our salaries and for the abandonment of the counter-reforms of social sorting of middle and high schools such as the shock measures of knowledge: let us be numerous and many on strike on Tuesday February 6.
