Education: New school year, new questions: Parents’ helpline to help

What about all-day school, school buses and books? Many parents of students have questions. Answers can be found over the phone.

After the end of the six-week summer holidays in Hesse, the Ministry of Education and the school authorities are offering the parents’ telephone again. Many families have questions, especially at the start of the school year, said Education Minister and former teacher Armin Schwarz (CDU). “The contact persons on the parents’ telephone can provide competent assistance in these matters.” The parents’ telephone has proven its worth in recent years.

The employees of the school authorities and the Ministry of Education are available to answer questions about school during the first two weeks of school, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The central number for parents in the ministry is 0611 368-2368.
