Education Minister V Sivankutty expressed grief over the death of a female student after a tree fell on her body near Puthigeil School in Kasaragod. The Minister sought a report from the Director of Public Education on the incident. The report should be submitted within five days. The Minister said that the instruction to cut and remove dangerous trees near schools should be strictly followed.
Ayeshath Minha (11), a 6th standard student of Angadimogar GHSS School, died. She is the daughter of BM Yusuf and Fatimat Zainaba of Angadimogar.
