However, the President of Frankfurt’s Goethe University, Enrico Schleiff, called on the students at a central welcoming ceremony on Thursday to be vaccinated against the corona virus and to continue to wear a mask indoors. According to a spokesman, the University of Kassel basically ordered a mask requirement indoors. Regular lectures will start at both universities on Monday (April 11). In total, the Goethe University is expecting around 42,000 students, according to its own statements, and Kassel around 22,000.
