Dresden (dpa / sn) – Despite an increasing number of identified corona infections, lessons continue at most schools in Saxony. According to the Ministry of Culture on Tuesday, people at 170 out of 1,374 public schools were affected by proven infections from November 2 to November 9. This corresponds to a rate of just under 12.4 percent. A school had to be temporarily closed due to Corona.
In the first week of November, 75 corona infections were registered among teachers and 130 among students. A total of around 1,100 girls and boys are currently in quarantine at home – out of a total of 413,000 pupils in public schools. For 99.7 percent of the students, and thus for most of them, the lessons continue under pandemic conditions, according to a spokeswoman.
