At the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation, a federal foundation under public law, Place of work Unkel/Rhein as of 1 November 2024 and limited until 31 July 2025.
Education & Placement (m/f/d)
to be filled part-time (50%). The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD). If the collective agreement requirements are met, the salary is based on salary group 11 TVöD (federal government). The regular weekly working hours are currently 19.5 hours.
The non-partisan Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation, with headquarters in Berlin and locations in Lübeck and Unkel, commemorates the political life and work of Willy Brandt.
Your tasks:
- Implementation of the Willy Brandt Forum Unkel’s educational programme, consisting of guided tours, workshops and educational offers (for schools, etc.) as well as collaboration on its conceptual development, also with regard to digital and inclusive offers
- Instruction and coordination of voluntary and freelance speakers
- Support of communication and public relations work of the Willy Brandt Forum Unkel
- Collaboration on the historical-political event program of the forum in Unkel and the surrounding area
- Networking with educational and cultural institutions, other institutions, initiatives and associations
Your profile:
- Completed university degree (at least BA) in a humanities or cultural studies subject, such as history, public history, political science, museum education
- sound knowledge of German and international history of the 20th century
- Experience in the field of educational and communication work in a museum, memorial or similar institution
- Organizational talent, ability to work in a solution-oriented, self-organized manner
- Willingness to occasionally work at events in the evenings and on weekends
- Confidence in using common office programs, content management systems (WordPress) and databases
