Education – Celle – School Management Association expects Minister of Education – Education

Celle (dpa / lni) – The challenges and stresses in schools in the Corona crisis are a central topic of the autumn meeting of the Lower Saxony school management association on Wednesday. At 10:00 am, Minister of Culture Grant Hendrik Tonne is expected in Celle. After his speech, the SPD politician wants to answer questions from around 150 participants. Due to the corona, not as many teachers from the management level of the Lower Saxony schools can be present this time as at the annual meetings before the pandemic. The annual meeting was canceled in 2020.

The publicist Marina Weisband will give a lecture via livestream on how schools can counter anti-Semitism, marginalization tendencies and conspiracy theories. The topic of democratic education had already occupied the school management association before Corona, said association chairman Andrea Kunkel. A new board of directors should also be elected at the annual meeting.
