In his view, people who have the opportunity to prepare for their immigration must absolutely do so in order to integrate as easily as possible into their host society. “Obviously, there are some very painful stories” that prevent this from happening, she admits.
Whatever the situation, immigration is not psychologically easy, and to lighten your daily life, you have to know how to surround yourself, says the Canadian and Beninese. “It’s important to have contacts, to volunteer, to target jobs,” she advises.
The mother, professional and volunteer, suggests keeping the focus on her original intentions: “When you sacrifice too much, you have a hard time carrying yourself.”
“Everyone needs to get the best out of their life. Everyone has something to bring to Earth, but we need the best conditions, ”says Sandra Adjou.
