Latvian striker Eduards Tralmaks has signed an agreement with the American Hockey League (AHL) team Providence “Bruins”, US journalists Mark Divers and John Wagoner report.
The 24-year-old hockey player will join the team on Thursday, the day after the conclusion of the contract.
For the past four seasons, Tralmaks has represented the University of Maine Black Bears team, which plays for the National College Sports Association (NCAA). Last season in the NCAA, he scored six goals in 12 games and made four assists.
Tralmaks has been playing in North America since 2013 and spent a season in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before studying at university.
Tralmaks has represented the Latvian youth national team at world championships, but in 2018 he made his debut in the adult national team, participating in test matches.
The Providence Bruins team is a farm club for the National Hockey League (NHL) Boston Bruins. The Providence team, with 21 points in 13 games, is the leader of the three Atlantic division units.
Sergejs Žoltoks, Grigorijs Panteļejevs, Mārtiņš Karsums, Aigars Cipruss, Aleksandrs Kerčs and Pēteris Skudra also once played in this AHL team of Latvian hockey players.
