‘Libreros de Nueva York’, which hits theaters and virtual rooms this week, it is a very peculiar documentary because looking at its images we can almost smell the pages of a book. We are within thousands and thousands of copies that mark the history of human beings. Directed by DW Young, the film is a journey through the history of classic New York bookstores, through the testimonies of renowned booksellers, writers, collectors and even readers. Only 78 bookstores remain in New York of the 368 that were in the past, something that is extensible to any part of the world, since the beginning of the digital age.
