The national entertainer Eduardo Fuentes, who is in charge of running the program True Lies (La Red) recalled how he began his career in television: delivering weather information on Mega.
In conversation with the online space Sunday Sundays, led by journalists Mauricio Contreras and Felipe Bianchi, the 45-year-old communicator recalled that his beginnings on the screen occurred when he had to carry out his practice as a journalist on the Bethia channel.

“When they cast me, they found me to be very stupid, they sent me to change my lookI found it pathetic, but they liked it ”, he said.
“It was a pain for me to stop there to give information about the weather, which was super square,” he recalled. With that, he decided to innovate in the production of space and proposed an idea that, he thought, would not be very well received.
“One day I said to the director, ‘Let’s do something. I’m going to make you like this (snap of fingers) and you take me (off the plane) with (an) effect. He bought it for me, I thought it would be more difficult, “he said.
The moment was recorded in images that were published on Fuentes’ Instagram account, about four years ago. “Here with the famous disappearance in Mega Time (It must be 2004) ”, he wrote next to the video.
“The information was there, but something started to be generated that something was happening in time, at night and people would see it to see what nonsense we were going to get out of,” he said.
At that moment, he commented, “a door was opened” to make the space of time a more fun moment. He came to use lion tails when, after his participation, Mega would broadcast the extinct program The jungle law.
The journalist, a graduate of the University of Chile, also had a section in the youth program Soft and encouraged I count on you with Catalina Palacios.
Later he came to Channel 13, TVN, CDF and La Red, a television station that is his current workplace.
