Why write about the massacre 50 years later?
–
“I grew up in Mexico City, although I am a native of the state of Sonora, and I had to live – although I was a child – these events…. both 68 and 71. I got to write it because it is a topic of constant interest and why there are people on this date in 2021 who want to know more, who wants to understand what happened. So it is something personal for me because I experienced that atmosphere 10 years after I became a journalist, ”Barraza said.
