Edson Álvarez has begun a new adventure in his professional career. After leaving Ajax to sign with West Ham United, the Mexican midfielder is ready to debut with his new team.
Facing the game of Date 2 of the Premier League, the now player of the ‘Hammers’ has trained normally under the orders of David Moyes and could see his first game in the English League when West Ham receives Chelsea in the Olympic Stadium in London.
“I have a good feeling of being in London. I’m excited for what the next few days will bring and then of course we have the game on Sunday which will be special for me as well.
“I am really looking forward to the game. I am happy that my first game can be against such a good opponent,” Edson Álvarez told the official West Ham United website.
“Of course it’s up to the manager if I go in and play, but I’m excited for that first chance. If he decides to choose me, I will be ready, ”added the Mexican.

Edson can debut in front of a full stadium
Before a packed stadium that will have 62,500 fans in the stands, Edson Álvarez wants to make a good impression on the ‘Hammers’ fans.
“The opportunity to go out to the London Stadium, in front of the West Ham fans; what an experience that will be. I want to play for them and against them, and Sunday is a good opportunity to do so”, pointed out the former Ajax player who is among the elements called up for Matchday 2.
