Michail Antonio announced who they were who gave the nicknames to the Mexican soccer player. The first stated that it was the coach David Moyes himself, since it was much easier for him when pronouncing his name. Without further explanation, Moyes placed the name and that is how he addresses Álvarez when communicating with him.
As to “La Cuchilla”, the Jamaican striker pointed out that it was he himself who invented it. “I’m thinking of one, I’m thinking of “La Cuchilla”, you know? It’s because he’s always cutting people down, but we don’t have a nickname for him yet, it’s still pretty early. Give me until January and I’ll give you a better one“, he reaffirmed.
