Sources close to the Al-Ahly club confirmed that Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is undergoing careful medical tests on Monday morning to determine his readiness to participate in the upcoming match against the UAE club Al-Wasl in the AFC Champions League.
Mendy had complained of pain in the foot before his team’s last match against Al-Qadisiyah in the Saudi League, which Al-Ahly lost 1-0.

Nevertheless, the Senegalese goalkeeper took part in part of the team’s group training at the Al Wasl Club Stadium in preparation for the Asian clash.
Al-Ahly fans are waiting for the results of the medical tests that Mendy will go through, because the Senegalese goalkeeper is considered one of the most important pillars of the first football team.
