The Ministry of Finance of the State Government contracted this year life and savings insurance for more than 46 million pesos for 9,206 public liaison and technical support servants, in addition to middle and senior managers of the Central Sector Executive, auxiliary organizations and autonomous organs.
The contract shows that in addition to life insurance to cover claims caused by death or total and permanent disability of bureaucrats, it includes voluntary savings insurance for these officials, in the event of their separation or retirement from public service.
In contrast, it also contracted group life insurance for more than 34.2 million for 24,871 public servants in security areas.
Both are valid from August 1, 2020, to December 31, 2021 and will be covered in three exhibitions: one in December of this year and two more in 2021 in the months of June and December.
Senior managers
The contract CS / A / 28/2020 with Seguro Patrimonial S. a. CV is for life and institutional and voluntary savings for 9,206 public liaison and technical support servants, as well as middle and senior managers of the Executive that includes life insurance to cover death or total and permanent disability and Savings Insurance Voluntary, in the event of separation or retirement from public service.
The insured servants are 4,487 from the central sector of the Mexican government, another 2,696 from auxiliary organizations and 2,023 from autonomous organizations, although it is not specified who will benefit.
The policy is valid from August 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021 and the total premium will be made up by applying the factor proposed by the insurer on the monthly gross integrated salary of each server for the number of months of validity.
The insured sum will be 40 months of monthly gross integrated salary at the time of the accident and the coverage covers death from any cause, including suicide and disqualification due to total permanent disability.
According to the details of the document, the company will charge 15% of the monthly income generated from the voluntary savings insurance for fund management. The amounts saved will be transferred to the insurer.
Collective agreement
The contract CS / A / 27/2020 with Seguros Azteca SA de CV for 34.2 million pesos covers collective life insurance for 24 thousand 871 public servants of which 24 thousand 618 belong to the administrative areas, security forces and police of the Secretary of Security.
Also for seven other public servants with radio operator category, attached to the Secretariat of Security and commissioned to the Coordination of Auxiliary Services of Contingencies and Emergencies, as well as 60 servants attached to the General Directorate of Material Resources of the Secretariat of Finance, with category of operational personnel and 186 servants assigned to the General Coordination of Civil Protection of the General Secretariat of Government with category of firefighters and administrative personnel.
The insured sum is 200 thousand pesos, with coverage for death from any cause, including suicide and disqualification due to total permanent disability
The insured servers carry out surveillance, public security, crime prevention, administrative functions and radio operators occasionally fly aircraft; while those of Finance carry out operational tasks and logistics functions in public events.
